Cytochemistry

The branch of science that deals with the study of the chemical organization are called cytochemistry.

Cells and tissues must be specially prepared for instrumental analysis and for the study of their chemical organization.

The study of the chemical organization is done by producing a color contrast. To produce a color contrast various dyes have been used.

Example

To localize DNA, Feulger dye is used under certain conditions; similarly to localize both RNA and DNA, Methyl green pyronin is used. It is not possible for us to localize a large number of cell constituents by the method of cytochemistry.
